The chapel Saint Lazare dates from the second half of the twelfth century and is notably one of the last leprosarium chapels in France. Therefore, we recommend you visit during your stay in Cher Valley.
Barn converted into the Revolution, there preserved crops until it is bought by the town of Noyers sur Cher and transformed into a showroom to ensure its preservation.
It was surrounded by a body of buildings and a wall in order to close the leprosarium. Unfortunately, the few documents of the time did not allow us to say with accuracy what the plan was that speaker. Nevertheless, cadastral plans under Napoleon I in which appear the walls give us the opportunity to make assumptions. Indeed, the walls have certainly not been built at that time and thus date from the time of the leprosarium.
